One of my favorite dishes is Phoenix and Dragon and it costs about $12. That does seem pricier than a Mom and Pop Chinese place, but not by much, maybe 2-3 dollars more. You do get a nice atmosphere, so I'd say it is worth it.

that said, i don't go there regularly if i am gong to drop $35 a person, i don't usually do it on chinese...
